Tteokbokki are elongated little cakes made from rice flour that are fried and combined with different sauces. Tteokbokki with Gochujang sauce is the best-known variant. The sauce tastes slightly spicy but sweet at the same time. With our mini cooking box you can easily cook this and other variants at home yourself!

Original Korean rice cakes
The noodle-like little cakes made from rice flour can be prepared with a wide variety of sauces and side dishes. Korean rice sticks contain no animal products, which also makes them ideal for cooking vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Sauce mix for Tteokbokki
Normally you need special Korean spices to cook an authentic Tteokbokki dish. With a sauce mix it is much easier. You have the choice between: Sempio Spicy Sauce (150g), Sempio Mild Sauce (150g) and Shindangdong Spicy Sauce (180g).
Two free recipes
The set also includes an information booklet with two Korean recipes for fried rice cakes with soy sauce or Gochujang (Korean chili paste). The recipes contain pictures of all the cooking steps and interesting background information about Tteokbokki.

We would like to bring you closer to the culture of Korea. That is why we decided to bring boxes of Korean food to Germany. Because food is a great way to learn something about another culture. We started out with a box of Korean sweets (our Dalgona box), but by now we have many more great boxes for you in the shop: we spent many hours in Korean supermarkets finding the right items and then working out a way to bring them to Germany. Sometimes it was pretty hard, and even if Dschihä did not want to admit it afterwards, to look cool: sometimes she was close to tears when yet another great item turned out to be unavailable or something else went wrong.
But now we have finally made it: we are really looking forward to hearing how you like it!
